Life Underground

two miners working underground on is topless showing how warm it is.

Work underground was dark, noisy, wet and hot. But for most miners working anywhere else was unthinkable.

Working together underground at Geevor created great camaraderie amongst the men. These men were experienced in their work which made the mine a safe environment to work in. Teamwork and trust were crucial.  The ability to laugh and to be laughed at was vital.
